Welcome to First Presbyterian Church

Visitors are always welcome at First Presbyterian Church. Our attitude is that your presence with us in worship and programs is a help to us as we come together to serve God and the world. So, thank you for being with us!

The following information will help you feel at home in our building.

There is handicapped parking in the rear parking lot, adjacent to the playground, and directly in front of the sanctuary on Broad Street. There are wheel chairs directly inside the front handicapped ramp. Wheelchair space is available in the pews immediately inside the sanctuary side entrance. The elevator is located in the Gallant building adjacent to the breezeway drive-thru.

The elevator serves all three floors. When using the elevator, please note that the sanctuary is floor 2.

Visitor information tables are located at the front (handicapped) entrance to sanctuary and at both entrances to the Fellowship Hall on the lower level of the education building—the Gallant Building, which is closest to the rear playground.

Facilities maps are on the walls just inside of several entrances.

The Sunday morning nursery is located on the second floor of the education building near the elevator.

Restrooms are located throughout the building, notably on all three floors at the playground end of the

Gallant building. Sunday morning dress at First Presbyterian Church ranges from casual to jackets and ties for men. Dress is according to personal preference and there is no unspoken dress code.

Participation in First Presbyterian Church’s worship is newcomer-friendly. There are no hidden expectations or practices that may become embarrassments for visitors. While visitors are welcome and will be greeted warmly, we don’t have special introductions of or nametags for visitors. As for communion: we hold to the general Presbyterian practice of welcoming all baptized persons—including children and non- members—to the Lord’s Supper.
